Zachary Owen Bsc, MNatSc 2017 Univeristy of Leeds

 

Short Bio:

Born and raised in Lancashire Zach Owen has been a photographer/designer since 2013 when he purchased his first professional camera. In 2017 he left the University of Leeds after gaining a masters in Natural Sciences. His hobbies include cycling, tennis and photography.

Photography:

Since buying his first camera he has had his photography published in the local paper, and has worked for a number of clients, including, but not limited to, the University of Leeds, Aviators Cheerleading, Bright Club Leeds, and two TEDx talks. You can see his work here, and his gear here.

Design:

From a design standpoint Zach is self taught in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop and has been commissioned to create artworks to be published in several scientific journals. He has freelanced work for the School of Chemistry and several societies at the University of Leeds. He was also the graphics designer for the website LLAMA (see below).

 

Scientific:

Zach helped create the online tool, LLAMA (Lead-Likeness And Molecular Analysis). He was the sole graphic designer and software tester and has since been published for his contribution to the tool. Zach has a passion for science and learning and hopes to spread this passion through his YouTube channel.
